Summer Festival & Sidewalk Sale

This coming weekend is The 31st Annual Summer Festival and Sidewalk Sale in historic downtown Bethel, featuring live music, activities, demonstrations, craft vendors, contests and more. Hours are: 10 AM to 5 PM Friday and Saturday and 11 AM to 4 PM on Sunday.

Tickles is so happy to announce that there will be a very special, cuddly guest at the store and walking around for the little ones to see and take pictures with. On Saturday July 17th there will be face painting from 12-3pm right in front of the store! Bring the kids for a free balloon from Tickles!

As a special for the sidewalk days, I will be offering FREE custom personalization on many of the products that Tickles offers, a $10 - $20 value FREE during this special event!

Funky Shoes

Since I love being different, I decided to personalized my son's sneakers!! (what a  surprise)
I wanted something funky, yet playful and stylish!
So this is what I came up with.

I will be making these funky shoes for the store. Every time Lucas is wears them, he gets a lot of compliments! I just LOVE the way they came out! These sneakers are Lucas' 2nd favorite pair of shoes.

Hello, after a year of opening Tickles, I am ready to start blogging. Lol a little late, but better late than never.
I want to be able to write about my shop and my everyday life to spice things a bit!!

Tickles is located in downtown Bethel, CT. We opened up on May 15Th, 2009.

I had this idea of having a store where I could be with my son and work at the same time. The idea was really born when I was in the market for room decor for my son before he was even born and I could not find anything unique enough to decorate his room. So soon after my son was born I started my own stationary business (PSK designs) creating custom cards and invitations. After a year of Lucas being born,s I was ready to open Tickles. With the best support from my family and especially my dear husband Tickles was created. I wanted a sweet shop that offers unique and colorful items to my customers.
